What’s Up?
I am deep in the weeds of Seth Godin’s course on freelancing, and it has me carefully analyzing just about every aspect of my business for opportunities to improve.
And like any great content marketer, I’m going to find a way to turn that self-analysis into promotional content this week! Let’s dive right into this week’s three content ideas!
What Could You Do Better?
No matter where you currently find yourself on the spectrum of success, everyone has something that they wish they were doing better.
Take some time and allow yourself to get vulnerable with your audience this week. How could you better serve them? What’s the plan to get yourself from here to there?
At the restaurant, we have been putting in an extra effort to make sure that the take-out times we are giving people over the phone are accurate.
This might sound like a minor improvement, but not to the people who show up in 20 minutes and have to wait 20 more for their food.
What Could You Let Go?
Another angle we could take on the self-improvement thought process is pointing out where you are currently spending time that could be spent more productively.
For me, this is all about allowing myself to be distracted from my writing business. I have dozens of great ideas for online courses, websites, and email newsletters that I want to chase down, but every one of those ideas is also a distraction from the client work that I enjoy doing.
What are you allowing to creep in on your time? What could you be doing differently to prevent that from happening. Your audience will love to hear about things you are doing to get better at your craft.
The NFL Draft
Now that we’ve got some of the heavy stuff out of the way, let’s talk about sports! The NFL Draft is happening this weekend, and everyone’s team has a plan to add players that will improve their roster. What’s your local team going to do?
You can also attack the draft concept from a different angle by hosting your own draft of employees or customers. Just make sure to keep it light and fun!
Have a great week!
Andy
