What’s Up?
I have been on an absolute roll in all aspects of my life over the past few weeks, and everything seems to be going my way at the moment.
I’m finding new levels of success that I didn’t even know were possible at my day job. I have some clarity about the future of Brooklyn Content for the first time in years. And I am working on purchasing a huge lot in the middle of the woods to build my dream home.
To say that life is good would be a massive understatement, and the thing sitting at the foundation of each of those amazing stories is content marketing.
So with that in mind, let’s jump into the three ideas you can use as starting points for your own content this week.
What Can You Simplify?
One of the reasons that I have been able to focus in on some big wins this week is that I have made a concerted effort to cut back on anything that doesn’t directly contribute to those wins.
I’ve taken this focus on simplicity to the extreme in all aspects of my career.
I have been talking about removing unnecessary menus items at the restaurant. I have forced myself to stop chasing online business pipe dreams and focus in on taking care of my best clients. And I have stripped away many of the distractions that I used to eat up my free time at home.
What could you strip away from your business or personal life that would help you focus in on getting better results? Spend some time thinking about that and then tell your customers how it will benefit them.
Squad Goals for Summer
We are going to roll into the month of May this week, which means that the summer months are right around the corner. What are your squad goals this summer?
At the restaurant, we are fully focused on getting more of the right people in place to keep growing our barbecue business. So we are going to be posting a ton of social media content talking about the perks of being part of our team.
You might have a goal of introducing a new product or service this summer, or you might have a specific sales goal that you feel comfortable sharing. Putting those ideas out there is the first step in making them happen, and your best customers will be rooting for you to get there.
Sportsball Talk
Between the NFL Draft, the NBA Playoffs, the NHL Playoffs, and early season MLB, there is something to be said about every major sports team in the country this week.
Here in Pittsburgh, our Steelers just gave Ben Roethlisberger a big extension, the Penguins got embarrassed in the first round of the playoffs, and our Pirates got smoked on their road trip out west. And everyone at the restaurant has a passionate opinion on each of these topics.
No matter where you are in the country, your coworkers and customers probably have strong feelings about their local sports teams this week. So even if you don’t know anything about sports, just ask ten people to share their opinions and you’ll have all the content you need to share.
Have a Great Week!
Andy
