What’s Up?
I started out this weekend thinking that it was going to be time to talk about the upcoming baseball season, but then I realized that most people are going to be talking about whatever happens at the Oscars on Sunday night.
I’m actually writing this on Sunday morning, so I’m not sure who won, but that really doesn’t matter when it comes to putting out great content. So, with that in mind, let’s take a quick look at three ways you can utilize the Oscars in your content this week.
Favorite Movie of the Year
If you’re anything like me, you probably didn’t get a chance to catch any of the movies that are up for awards this year. However, you probably did see one or two flicks at some point. What were they? Why weren’t they considered for any awards?
There is also a good chance that you have a few movie buffs somewhere on your staff, and those people should be positioned as your go-to experts on all things cinema moving forward.
All-Time Oscars
One fun way to spin the Oscars for people who aren’t up on current movies is to spend some time talking about your all-time favorite movies.
Many experts will argue that Citizen Kane is the best film ever made, but maybe you think Pulp Fiction or Forrest Gump is actually better. Spend some time talking about it!
Describe Your Company’s Movie
Another angle that you can use to promote what makes your company great is to publish a piece of content describing what a movie about your company might look like. What would be the theme of the film? What actors would play the different member of your staff?
This is a great way to talk about your company in a fun way while still stressing all of the positive things that you bring to the table.
Have a great week!
Andy
