It’s a holiday week and just about everyone is going to be mailing in their content marketing efforts while they kick back and relax with friends and family. But it’s also the time of year where everyone has plenty of time to sit around on their phones.
When you combine the increase in potential eyeballs with a reduction in competition for those eyeballs, the week that runs from Christmas through New Year’s Day is actually one of the best weeks of the year to put out content.
If you’re struggling for good ideas this week, here are three that I think are worth running with.
Everyone loves to joke about Festivus this time of year. Even people who have never watched a single episode of Seinfeld have heard about the “Airing of the Grievances” and the “Feats of Strength.”
If your company was to have a special Festivus dinner, what hysterical antics might occur? Feel free to mix in some references to The Office as well.
For some more serious holiday content, take a minute and poll your coworkers about their favorite holiday meal traditions. You’ll be surprised how many of the people you work with have great stories about recipes that have been passed down through their families over the years.
And make sure you leave a spot at the end for that one coworker who prefers to order a pizza instead of cooking a ham!
NFL Playoff Scenarios
The holidays are also the time of year where every NFL teams starts to analyze what needs to happen for them to sneak into the playoffs. If your local team is on the bubble, put together a quick recap of what they need to happen to make it into the big dance.
If your team is already out of the running, you can take a different approach and break down the scenarios of the teams they are playing and how they might be able to play the spoiler role this year.
Have a great holiday week, and I’ll be back next week with three more content ideas!
